Vista - Why Google desktop?

Just a question. What is the supposed benefit of leaving google tied into
the Vista desktop?

Not sure I understand your question. MSFT lol doesn't promote or bundle
Google desktop in their software, but many people find it awfully useful as
a free means to search your computer. It has found me countless things I
needed. Vista search now awfully useful as well.

Ahh it was part of the OEM bundle on my machine then. Makes perfect sense
now that someone slapped me upside the head with it!

Is it a DELL PC by any chance? - I see on the DELL PC's they include Google
Desktop search stuff and toolbar on their PCs from the factory. Used to have
this installed on the XP machines too.
