need help disabling item from startup

I keept getting a program compatibility assistant for Sonic Solutions DLA. I
have disabled all items from startup except
Windows Defender
Intel Common User Interface (3 entries commands are system32\igfxtray.exe,
hkcmd.exe and igfxpers.exe
My mouse pad (laptop)
My Wifi driver
Google Desktop

I haven't been able to find a resolution for this so for now I just want to
disable it. I'd rather not uninstall the software because I know I'll just
have to put it back on later.

Re: need help disabling item from startup

You need to uninstall it, it is not Vista compatible.

Re: need help disabling item from startup

Okay thanks.

Re: need help disabling item from startup

Hello,

Check out the support forums at Roxio. This was caused by a particular Vista
update (I don't remember which one right now) that came out recently. They
(Roxio) are working on a fix. In the mean time, they recommend either
uninstalling the offending Vista update or simply ignoring the error message.
I have chosen to ignore the message (Roxio still works fine) and wait for
their permanent fix.

Re: need help disabling item from startup

I opted to uninstalled because the user is unexperienced and I know it's
going to be a problem. Will reinstall when needed. Thanks.

Re: need help disabling item from startup

I have uninstalled the Maxtor software, but still get the Sonic Solutions DLA
driver error message on Startup (probably because the driver was running at
the time and couldn't be deleted. I can't find the driver in the task
manager list. Do you know how I can delete the driver? Thanks.
