I'm afraid the only for sure way to rid your computer of AOHell is to
reformat and would take a lot less of your time than fighting with
getting everything AOL off your machine.

Open a command prompt,"run as administrator" then open REGEDIT, it will take
"awhile" but this will do the job.
Suggest you backup the registry first :-)

You try a System Restore to a Point before you installed AOL ??

I assume you downloaded and installed the AOL 9.0 VR (Vista Ready) version.
I am running that one with Vista and no problems at all.

    Good Luck

AOL is the single worst piece of malware every invented by mankind. Why
anyone would subject any computer to the indignity of AOL is beyond me.

Best advice you'll get this year: DITCH AOL.

AOL tried to enter the Spanish market with a weird computer that they
tried to sell through the banks. It flopped. A company called Quiero
tried to do a webTV type thing here and it also flopped.

I remember when AOL was going to sue Microsoft for their dominance in the
browser wars when AOL owned Netscape yet even AOL used IE in their custom
    web interface instead of Netscape.

Other than the one marketing guy who came up with the idea to insert the AOL
CD in every magazine published for several years, I don't think they ever
    had anyone too bright.

I once installed it on my computer and paid about 15 bucks a month and
used my own ISP. The only way I could get rid of it was to reformat and
it was a horrible program, very mouse based and I'm a keyboard kinda guy
:-) In addition, as long as you're subscribed, it controls your
computer. The instant my subscription was up, control was restored. I
never did figure out how they did that.
