IE7 in Vista flickers

I am currently running Vista Premium and IE7.0.6. When viewing webpages the
screen flickers whenever I scroll down, move the mouse across the screen, or
if there is a video or some other sort of animation on the page. I went to
update my driver for my video card (RADEON X300/X500 Series) through the
Device Manager, but it says that it's up to date. This was not an issue
before upgrading from XP Media Center Edition. Any other suggestions??

Re: IE7 in Vista flickers

Go to http://www.ati.com and get the latest drivers for your card from
there.

Re: IE7 in Vista flickers

I have the same problem, and the same ATI card. I installed the latest drivers
from ATI and it did not help. I think there is a problem with Adobe Flash and/or the drivers
and Flash. I had no problem with web pages or graphics on the PC
until I installed Flash 9.0. Then I started seeing the flicker on web pages and obvious
problems with Flash. Once I uninstalled Flash, the flckering went away
(along with all the Flash functionality).

Ironically, Microsoft's web pages are the worst. MS uses a lot of Flash, and some
of their web sites are just a mess.

Re: IE7 in Vista flickers

The same happens with the latest nVidia video drivers.. no doubt, ATI and
nVidia will get around the problem in time..
