Vista - lexmark

anyone find a working update for a lexmark X3350 Printer, i cant scan or
print because of VISTA

Hi Erin,

You didn't say it, so I'm going to ask, did you check Lexmarks website? I
checked HP for a particular printer and although they didn't have a Vista
specific driver ready yet, they suggested an alternative driver that would
work and it's available with Vista too. So my suggestion would be to use a
driver that's closest to the X3350.

As people have pointed out, now is not the time to run into this
problem. You should have researched it first.

I had a similar problem with a Lexmark X83. It's not supported either
(probably cuz it's 6 years old); but I knew that *before* I got Vista.

Don't believe it! I have a Lexmark Z845, and have been fighting Lexmark
over their so called "Vista driver" since February, and they released the
useless thing. The end result: after hours of fighting with their "tech
support" (under their direction I must have installed and uninstalled their
driver at least 20 times!) they shipped me a replacement printer -- at no
charge -- and requested the old printer back. Even though there was nothing
wrong with it and it has always functioned (and continues to function) like
a champ under XP.Haven't installed the new printer yet, so I don't know if
it works......

I am having the same problem with my Lexmark X3350. It worked fine with
Windows XP. But it cannot communicate with Windows Vista. I tried to
uninstall and install the driver provided on Lexmark's web site many times
but the problem is still the same. The installing kept getting interupted
before being completed. Can anybody help?

Yeah, stop being a BETA tester for Lexmark and Vista and roll it back to XP.

I had no problems updating my X8350 driver on a new HP computer with Vista
Home Premium. Where did you download your updated driver? From Lexmark or
Windows or computer manufacturer?
