You can not delete it. You can yurn it off so that it does not load with
Windows.

You might be able to do it with vLite, when making a fresh installation,
once it has been developed further (I have heard that it is not very
developed at this stage). I used to use nLite, the XP version, to make very
slimmed down XP installations on older laptops.

ss.
I used vlite to create a boot disk, with windows defender removed, along
with Windows Search, Security center, Zip folder viewer and other knit
knacks. Works pretty good wish they had more options, current revision is at
..9

Assuming you don't want to create a new install that as defender removed,
about your only option is to go in and set the service to disabled. If you
really want to remove any thought of it, you could go into the registry and
delete the service entry, which would keep it from ever accidentally
starting.
As always, if you don't know what the registry is, it's probably best to
stay away from it. You can shoot yourself in the foot (and head) real easy
if you get delete happy

Hi KeJiaLi:
Defender is integrated to Vista and CAN NOT BE REMOVED. You can disable it
at Services, but you will still see it at the Startup Programs in
Administrative Tools (msconfig). Live it alone and enjoy the Vista U 32 bit,
I use one.
