Why is Vista saying I don't have permission to save a file?

I was working on a 45 hour project and I had to update a cascading style
sheet and as I go to save my last few updates, Vista tells me I don't have
permission to edit this file so I click cancel and reboot to see if it fixes
it...I log back in and the file vanished. Where is the file and why is it
repeatedly telling me that I don't have permission to edit my own files and I
AM the administrator of the computer.

It has to do with the UAC (User Account Control), basically your applications
don't have the permissions you do. Right click on the file and choose "Run as
Administrator".

Since the file wasnt saved and you rebooted it is probably gone.
