| | Dual Boot and Common volumes I want to setup a dual boot of XP SP2 and Vista Ultimate. XP exist allready on the 1st primary partition. My understanding is that I need only create a 2nd primary partition, boot the Vista DVD, and select that as the destination. The question is, what about all my other extended partitions and logical drives within which will be visible to both OSs? Are there any issues there? I have apps installed under XP to the extended partitions which I ~dont~ intend to use under Vista, but will the 2 OS fight as far as things like recylce bin, restore point data, etc? What should I be aware of here? |

| | Re: Dual Boot and Common volumes You don't have to create a second orimairy. You can install Vista to any logical. The only problem will be the restore points. Every time you boot XP the Vista restore points are gone! Ko.
