| | Filesystem Still Case Sensitive After Uninstalling SUA Hello, I installed SUA on my Vista Enterprise desktop machine to attempt to play around with it. During the install, I chose to make the filesystem case sensitive. After I determined it wasn't what I was looking for, I uninstalled it. Now, it appears my filesystem is still in "case sensitive" mode. If I go into Control Panel->System->"Advanced system settings", I get an error message saying "Windows cannot find 'C:\windows\system32\systempropertiesadvanced.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again". When I browse to the system32 directory, the executable is there, but it's named "SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe". The same thing happens with the other "Tasks" within the System Control Panel. I did find a reference to a registry setting: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\kernel\obcaseinsensitive, but setting it to 1 made no difference. Any other ideas? |

| | Re: Filesystem Still Case Sensitive After Uninstalling SUA Hi Michael, Thanks for your response and I am sorry to hear that repair cannot help you resolve the issue. I suspect the removing SUA may cause this issue. Due to the lack of Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications troubleshooting information, I cannot find any similar issues reported in our internal knowledge base. Therefore, if possible, I'd like to suggest you perform a parallel installation of Windows Vista.
