Vista - backup copy of dvd

can you make a usable backup copy of the original dvd, just in case of
damage to the original disk.
I did this with xp, but never had to use it yet. If I can't, guess I will
have to put it in the safe for what it cost.

read your eula if you are allowed to do so.
start-run-winver.exe -> Link to Eula

Mine says "yes" for one backup media . ( Vista Business, german )
