| | RE: Flip 3d not working http://www.tweakvista.com/Article38975.aspx Posted 5/14/2006 by Steve Sinchak Would you like to add a shortcut to your desktop or quick launch bar that launches the new Flip 3D tab replacement? 1. Right click on your desktop and select New and then Shortcut. 2. Copy and paste RunDll32 DwmApi #105 into the location box and hit Next. 3. Enter in a name for your shortcut and hit Finish. 4. Copy/Cut and Paste your new shortcut where ever you want. troma adds: Help & Support says....... "To use Windows Flip 3D Press CTRL+Windows logo key +TAB, and then use the mouse wheel to scroll through the stack of windows one-by-one. Double-click a window to maximize it." works for me... | | Re: Flip 3d not working Wow, you shouldn't have to do ANY of that. All I do is press Window-Tab, and the Flip3D feature just works. There should be no need to involve the CTRL key or any part of the mouse. I just hold down the Window key and then tap TAB. Each time I tap TAB, the next window rolls to the front and the front window rolls to the rear of the pack. When I have the window I want in front, I just release the Window key, and that application becomes the active one. That's all there's supposed to be to it. I'm guessing that if it doesn't work this way, Setup detected enough of a deficiency in the GPU to not install it. Why doesn't everyone respond with their make and model? I'm using a Radeon X800XL with 256MB of RAM. | | Right click on your desktop, go to personalization. Click on "Window color and appearance". Make sure that "Windows Aero" is selected. Some programs will not work with Windows Aero settings and Vista will default to "Windows Vista Basic" settings until that program is closed. I have found that trillian basic causes this problem for me. I am sure there are others out there. It took me serveral hours to figure out what the problem was so don't feel bad. |
