DreamScene

Hello,

I have just downloaded the DS preview.

It does not use much CPU, so this is good.

Its only a preview, the final version is said to use less CPU.

But.... I have been running it for 30 Secs, my NVID7900 card is getting
hotter and the fan has kicked in.

So.... my lappy is getting hot I am using more watts per hour, so... you
could say I am not being very green.

When I pause DS, you can hear the fan slowing down.

I do think its kind of cool to use the power of the GPU, but GPUs have not
had the same investment in cooling / low power etc that CPUs have had.

Re: DreamScene

Hoepfully, the final will use less GPU processes as well. If you are that
concerned about cooling the GPU, look into the Arctic Cooling Silent series
of coolers. I'm running a couple of them in my machines and they are really
quiet, and use little power.

Not exactly a great solution to releave the strain from Dreamscene, but if
you do any gaming or anything, it will make a difference in the long run.
