$50 to anyone who can help me! Vista Bluescreen

I just upgraded a brand new HP PC that I got 1 week ago to Vista
Ultimate. I hate to do a bunch of tweaking to get everything working
right as DHCP wasn't working for networking, sound wasn't working, etc.
After installation I've been getting kernel dumps about once every hour.
It doesn't make sense when it happens - no ryhme nor reason. I installed
all the updates that MS gave me in Windows Update. Got new video
drivers, printer drivers, etc.

I then installed it again from scratch and thought everything was
running fine. In fact, this time it detected my network card and used
DHCP just fine. I thought maybe my first two installs were bad. But
after about 3 hours of running the computer, I was installing a program
(MS Intellipoint) and it dumped on me again. Here is the info on the
dump.

BCP3: 968E1C7D
BCP4: 00000000

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini021407-01.dmp
C:\Users\Jeremy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-90015-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Jeremy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER8623.tmp.ver sion.txt

Here are the specs:
- Genuine Windows XP Professional
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E6600 (2.4GHz)
- 4GB DDR2-667MHz dual channel SDRAM (4x1024)
- 250GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
- LightScribe 16X DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
- 16x max. DVD-ROM
- 15-in-1 memory card reader, 3 USB, 1394, audio
- No Modem
- No TV Tuner w/remote control
- 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT, HD , TV-out, 2 DVI
- Sound Blaster Audigy X-Fi, 24-bit Xtreme Fidelity
- HP Keyboard, HP Scroller Mouse

I will pay $50 via PayPal for anyone who can help me take my data dump
file and help me figure out what is causing the dump and help me get my
system stable. If it is a certain device, I'll just replace it with
something that I know works in Vista (even though HP sold me a "vista
compatible computer".) I'm using this as my business computer and want
to get it solid as soon as possible.

Might help if you upload the dump files somewhere so we can analyze them!

Re: $50 to anyone who can help me! Vista Bluescreen

I'd first look to Device Manager for info. You need to add a System
Environment Variable:
DevMgr_Show_NonPresent_Devices
and set it's value = 1
Open Device Manager, Click View - tic/check "Show Hidden Devices"
Look for a category called "Other Devices". If it exists, then Vista has
detected devices but was unable to install drivers or identify them fully.

Nice hardware configuration. I'd also spend some time checking on the
BIOS settings. Not sure how HP configured your SATA controller. If
you didn't use AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) at setup
you may want to consider switching as it provides full Native Command
Queuing on your disk drives.

z8young:
Try reducing the ram to 2GB as a test if the BSOD is gone the most
likely cause is a bios conflict. Try using Nvidia video driver #100.64 that
was just released. Have a great day.
