short primer on adding 2nd drive and setting swap location

Vista ultimate installed initially with a single 40gb drive

added a 2nd 40 gb drive and vista configured drive automatically, I just created a
partition and formatted it

when I set this 2nd drive to contain the swap file, it would not boot, would just come
up from bios with disk failure, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete

when I set 2nd drive to contain 1 of 2 swap files, one on a separate partition of the
1st physical disk and 2nd on the 2nd rive, then vista boots fine.

just fyi, in case someone has tried that
