| | dont show this message again for this device" doesnt work?? I have a few "unknown devices" which result in the prompt at Vista startup to find their drivers.. If I choose the option: dont show this message again for this device On the next reboot it asks once again... Anyone know of a fix? Thanks |

| | RE: dont show this message again for this device" doesnt work?? I had several Unknown Device messages every time I started Vista, even though all devices were working correctly. The solution I found was to work through the Found New Hardware wizard until the prompt to specify a folder to search. Use "C:\Windows" here (or wherever Vista is installed), and make sure to search sub-directories as well. This solution found drivers for all my devices, and also helped me install a new USB Printer!
