Vista - Lexmark Z515 inkjet printer

I just bought a Acer T180-ud400b, with Windows Vista Home Basic.
I can't get my printer to work. It shows as a Lexmark 510 series, but won't
even print a test page. Help!!!!!!!

You're trying to install a ten year old printer model into a very recently
released O/S. Doesn't look like Lexmark are interested in providing drivers
for something as old as this.

There is no Vista driver for your printer, and it
looks like there isn't going to be either.

Sorry about that, but lexmark seems to have only gone
back so far for its driver updates (??)

ps: lexmark release Vista drivers for X11xx series (yahoo)

Lexmark is doing a good job if adding new drivers for their printers, but
like a lot of us Lexmark owers, you'll have to have patience and wait for
drivers for your model of printer. Check lexmark.com often. On the lower
left corner is a link to check for printers with Vista compatible drivers
already written.

I'm still waiting myself, but I think they will come.

Indeed, Lexmark has been rather good at releasing their
Vista drivers, albeit a month or so later than they expected.

Point: If your printer is not on the list as 'coming soon'
or "date" or 'driver download', you will not be getting
a (Vista) driver for your printer.
Lexmark has decided to only go back to 2003 and update
their drivers, and then, not all of them in that time period.

Thanks for the followup. When I made my reply, I hadn't realized the age of
the z515.
