| Guest | Reminders do not show when Vista's Windows Calendar is not running My reminders are not showing up when Vista's Windows Calendar is not running. Even after I've turned on the option. Is anybody else experiencing the same problem? Does anybody know how to fix this this? Did Microsoft over look this feature during testing? |

This does not surprise me and is the behavior I would expect. Very few program do anything when not running. Put a shortcut to Windows Calendar in your Startup folder. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email. |

| Guest | RE: Reminders do not show when Vista's Windows Calendar is not running Mine used to work when I had the UAC turned off, but when IU turned it back on, it now only reminds me the following day when I boot up the computer for the day. I hope there is a fix for it soon. "Tim Thein" wrote: > My reminders are not showing up when Vista's Windows Calendar is not > running. | Guest | Re: Reminders do not show when Vista's Windows Calendar is not run WRONG! Open Task scheduler. Scroll to the windows calendar folder. Odds are you'll get a message saying, "The task image is either missing or corrupt." Reminders run via task scheduler, btw. Said task image is an XML file. Mine's missing. What I would like is for some nice kind soul with a working windows calendar to post a copy thereof. -- --piaqt (TechZonez Vista Support Forum http://www.techzonez.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64) "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM" wrote: > "Tim Thein" <spam@cox.net> wrote in message > news:6262F93B-FD24-4D72-BDFE-B722B71D1FEB@microsoft.com... > > My reminders are not showing up when Vista's Windows Calendar is not > > running. | Guest | Re: Reminders do not show when Vista's Windows Calendar is not run The key phrase being "supposed to". It did not restore or re-create the task image. I've tried re-creating the task, but I'm not sure how to configure the triggers or arguments.
