| | When is the trial version coming? Previous windows office versions had a trial version, will Vista be released as trial version too? Office 2007 is already available as trial version: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en So I guess Vista will follow? Any official date? |

| | Re: When is the trial version coming? I know that you can install it without the Key. But, I still need the DVD or the .iso of it to do it. I don't have it. Seriously, it worked with XP: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/6...cts/trial.mspx Why not with Vista? How do I test Vista, without a DVD? OK, I can download the image from a a shoddy P2P network, but that's rather lame and I am not at ease with that option. | | Re: When is the trial version coming? No one knows, but hopefully soon. At least those that know will not say. Keep an eye on the Vista site, there will probably be a reference there. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "the friendly display name" <thefriendlydisplayname@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:30A735B5-71D7-495E-8C1E-25C265026CB2@microsoft.com... > Previous windows office versions had a trial version, will Vista be > released > as trial version too? > > Office 2007 is already available as trial version: > > http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en > > So I guess Vista will follow? My guess is because Microsoft figured they could boost sales of XP X64 which wasn't all that well known to the masses. Whereas their half-a-gazillion-dollar advertising budget for Vista is all the help they figure they need. I don't recall a free trial version of any MS OS I've owned um.... er... "licensed" previously (95, 98, 2000, XP [x86]). -- Scott http://angrykeyboarder.com A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? |

| | Re: When is the trial version coming? Microsoft had a free trial of Windows XP for several months, possibly a year after release. You can still get trial Windows XP with some books. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "Scott" <geekboy@angrykeyboarder.comatose> wrote in message news:tmidt29unopoci746c8tph1jaa1mkm64qj@4ax.com... > On Fri, 16 Feb 2007 18:30:00 -0800, the friendly display name > <thefriendlydisplayname@discussions.microsoft.com> spake thusly: > My guess is because Microsoft figured they could boost sales of XP X64 > which wasn't all that well known to the masses.
