Vista - Autodesk and Vista

Autodesk will release an update for AutoCAD 2007 and AutoCAD LT 2007 in the
coming months that will add support for Windows Vista 32-bit versions.
Please consult www.autodesk.com\support for future updates on Windows Vista
support.

I don't know if that means you can set Vista to run as 32-bit, or if you can
set AutoCAD to run as 32-bit in a 64-bit operating system. I have some
unanswered questions. If we all get Vista, and upgrade to 2007 and update
for Vista, then when we upgrade to AutoCAD 2008 and want to run as 64-bit,
what will that entail? Will this reformat our hard drives? Will it be
able to run older software as XP did? Will it require us to have all new
software and reject our old programs like Office 2000?

By 64 bit version, do you mean Vista 64 bit version? To upgrade to Vista 64
bit version, that would require a clean install. Older 32 bit software will
still be compatible, but very old 16 bit programs will not work.
