Money 2007 installed and seems to run OK, but I can not do anything
online. It tells me I need a internet connection. I don't know if this
is a Money or a Vista problem, but Money is the only program that cant
find the Iinternet. I have told the Vista firewall to let it through,
but no joy. Also tried shutting off the firewall.

Try lowering your your security setting for "Internet" to "Medium" in
Control Panel/Internet Properties/Security tab. You should be able to log in
to Money now. After you have successfully logged in you should be able to
set the security back to "Medium-High".

Assuming you shared this information with us on the same computer, it
sounds to me like you've answered your question. :-)

I had the same problem. I experienced the same problem under windows XP
after upgrading to internet explorer 7 and again with Vista. The problem is
caused by internet explorer 7. While I'm not 100% possitive, I think I
fixed it by going into internet properties and checking SSL 2.0 under the
advance tab.

I spent all day trying to get MS Money2007 to run after I upgraded to Vista
Home Premium. Mostly end up with "Program not responding". Will try the
SSL2.0, but don't expect much. It was running fine under IE 7 and XP. I don't
understand why Money should insist on an internet connection unless you want
to download accounts or quotes, etc.
