| | decided to go back to XP, license question Due to too many issues with Vista, I've decided to go back to XP. MS's EULA states that if I "upgraded" to Vista, my XP key would be rendered void, so how do I go back exactly? Sounds as though MS has decided that I can't "downgrade". Do they expect me to go out and buy XP again or is there some procedure to get my XP key reinstated? |

| | Re: decided to go back to XP, license question No. In other words as long as you are using Vista you cannot use XP. However if you are now using XP and aren't using Vista then you are fully compliant with the EULA This is the one thing I have to keep arguing about with people. Vista DOES NOT take away your rights to use your XP key, however it does tell you that you cannot use it if you have an upgrade to Vista using that license as the key. That's all. | | Re: decided to go back to XP, license question I should think that calling MS and saying "Don't like Vista, returning it for a refund, please re-activate XP" would work. Would love to hear about any response to the contrary...
