aero glass ? Need some help.

Ok I have read a little about Aero glass and did a search but I can not find
the info on it on my PC. What is getting to me is I can not find out if I
have it turned on or not. Right now my theme is Vista and I have a PC
rating of 3. I have a BNG 6800OC. Right now it is not OC past the system
specs. The weird part is that I can not run 1024x768 with 32 bit turned on
I can only do it with 16bit turned on. So that is kind of getting to me
because I can do 800x600 with 32 bit. I do not know if this might be the
issue but I can not see drivers for my NEC 17" CRT monitor. I am not sure
if that is why I can not turn on 32 bit since it is just a windows driver.

Thanks for any help

Re: aero glass ? Need some help.

If its running at 16-bit, you don't have AERO Glass. I would check nVidia's
website to see if they have the latest beta 2 drivers for your video card.
If you are still experiencing the resolution issue, right click your desktop
> click Personalize > click "Display Settings > Advanced Settings..." >

under "Adapter" > click "List All Modes..." > select an appropriate Refresh
rate running at 1024 by 768, click OK > OK.

Re: aero glass ? Need some help.

Did you update the drivers from Nvidia's site? There not great, but they
may improve things.

Re: aero glass ? Need some help.

The monitor does not matter. If you have an LDDM driver from nVidia
installed you should have Aero Glass.

Re: aero glass ? Need some help.

I have installed Vista on 4 different computers now. In each case, if the
hardware was capable, glass was automatically "enabled" upon the first
appearance of the desktop.
