I saw blue-red tints appearing across my screen when Aero is turne

as can be seen from the figure below, when I click on multiple windows,
sometimes it will appear to be like that, I have to minimize and then restore
back in order to make them disappear. Is that because of my video driver?
During the first few days after I have installed the graphic driver, Vista
Aero worked seamlessly until yesterday where the mentioned phenomenon
occured. My video card is Nvidia Geforce7600GS 256MB DDR3 with Nvidia driver
97.46 (not those microsoft WDDM driver).

Re: I saw blue-red tints appearing across my screen when Aero is turne

I would guess it is either:
1) Dodgy video driver
2) Dodgy video card
3) Dodgy monitor (or settings issue)
4) Loose cable(s)

Did you try rolling back to the MS-supplied video driver?

Or over heating.

My heat sink was coming away on my GPU, it started to show funny images then
it stopped working.

I looked at it to find the heat sink had come away a little and it was VERY
HOT.
