Vista - Scanner Drivers

Hi All
Has anyone heard if Visioneer is going to come out with Vista Drivers for
the One Touch 8900 USB.
That is the only device I have that don't work with vista.
Only a 2 year old scanner,hate to throw it out.

Did you try the 2000/XP drivers? I have an Epson scanner for which Epson
has not yet posted "Vista" drivers. I tried installing the 2000/XP drivers.
The install failed, but then Vista offered to retry with "recommended"
settings, and it succeeded, albiet slowly.

I have my 8900 USB scanner running under Vista Ultimate w/out problem. What I
had to do is.

1. Down loaded the driver from Visioneers Website.
2. Right click on the downloaded executable and run in XP compatibility mode.

after install using Photoshop 9.1 I'm able to access the twain client w/out
issue.

Hope this helps some people.
