| | Areo and Nero 7 Hi Guys and Gals Has anyone had this problem or is it MY machine? I installed Nero 7. When I open nero start smart the program features are not visable, just the frame of the Program. I spent just about all day trying to get this to work.Installed and uninstalled it 4 times. Finally figured it out. If I have Areo enabled it causes the problem. If I set to vista basic , it all is visable. Is this my machine doing this or is it window or a nero problem. Anyone else out there have this problem. thanks -- Carl G |

| | Re: Areo and Nero 7 Nero's answer to this problem is to use a 96 DPI setting for DPI Scaling. | | Re: Areo and Nero 7 Hi RRShaver Yup you are right. Pretty lousy solution though don't you think. My old eyes just have to hard a time reading that small print. Guess I will just have to turn off Areo whenever I want to use Nero 7. Thanks for the reply. -- Carl G "RRShaver" <rrshaver@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uTCyRO6VHHA.4188@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Nero's answer to this problem is to use a 96 DPI setting for DPI Scaling. > > > "Carl G" <cgerving@msnDOTcom> wrote in message > news:15AE496B-F010-48CE-9A0B-EF38F873F59A@microsoft.com... >> Hi Guys and Gals >> Has anyone had this problem or is it MY machine? >> I installed Nero 7. If you right-click on Nero and go to properties, then compatibility there's an option to disable Desktop composition. That'll at least save you from having to turn Aero on and off manually. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK. | | Re: Areo and Nero 7 My old eyes just have to hard a time reading that small print try this: click Right mouse button anywhere on vista desktop then click "personalize" click window color & appearance. Then click on: open Classic appearance properties for more color option at bottom of page. Click on advanced in the appearance settings window then on desktop. Click on "Icon" then change font to a size(drop down box) that pleasing to you. I changed mine to 15. You also make it bold by clicking on the "B". Hope this helps! Have a great day!!! l G" <cgerving@msnDOTcom> wrote in message news:2F0CF38B-9A5D-47E8-ADD4-11EAD11D5DB4@microsoft.com... > Hi RRShaver > Yup you are right. | | Re: Areo and Nero 7 Thanks Guys I did get it to work ok. Kinda a shame that that program makes you have to mess around like that just to get it to work.
