| | media center blue screen crash I get crashes to a blue screen reboot quite often when I go into certian general settings. It happens directly on the PC or via the XBox 360 (the computer crashes). This is the vent info: Problem signature Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Files that help describe the problem (some files may no longer be available) Mini022107-01.dmp sysdata.xml Version.txt View a temporary copy of these files Warning: If a virus or other security threat caused the problem, opening a copy of the files could harm your computer. Extra information about the problem BCCode: 1000008e BCP1: C0000005 BCP2: 8B8C37FB BCP3: 999FD8B0 BCP4: 00000000 OS Version: 6_0_6000 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 256_1 Server information: c17fdde0-8e16-4709-898b-d6b2dcc814cb Do I need more RAM? I have 1535MB now. Can anyone help? |

| | Re: media center blue screen crash The key things to report off of a blue screen are the stop code and the DLL or driver that is causing the problem - if one is identified. It is definitely not that you need more RAM - though we haven't yet excluded bad RAM.
