Downloaded documents put in temporary internet folder

When I download a file or document Vista (premium) will only save it in the
temporary internet files folder - for some weird reason. Which, in the new
labyrinth M$ calls Explorer, is not the easiest to find and a damn
nuiscience to keep looking for

[yes, I know I'll get used to the new Explorer like I did with XP]

I always like to have a folder on my desktop which can direct all downloads
too - I know where they are and they are immediately accessible...how do I
get it to happend by default in this new wonder?

Ron

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Something must have gone amiss. The default download location is now a
folder called "downloads" which resides within "documents"

So it might just be a Sony Vaio thing....there must be a way to change the
default folder.....I'll have to go digging around....unless someone has the
answer

Re: Downloaded documents put in temporary internet folder

When I DL a file it give's me an option to place the file where I like. The
DL will automatically go to the internet temp folder but after the DL it
will be copied to what ever folder to told it to

Unless you use a better browser, then it just downloads it to where
you told it to go in the first place. :-)
