I had to uninstall Vista because of that reason. In my case, it gives me a
blue screen whenever I insert a dvd or try to access it. The same dvd works
fine in XP.
I just un-installed Vista too... It's know where near ready for public beta
testing

That some hardware has problems with Vista is the precise point of Beta
testing.
