| | Unable to find the WAB DLL I've a brand new computer running VISTA. Installed Outlook 2000 and I can receive e-mails but cannot send any. When sending I receive the message, "An error occurred while attempting to open the windows address book. Unable to find the WAB DLL". I get the same error when trying to open the address book. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

| | Re: Unable to find the WAB DLL Chaps. Had to think about this for a few mins but then something came to mind that I remember has got me out of a lot of vista issues with programs, To fix this issue go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office And find the OUTLOOK application Right click and go to properties, then compatibility, then under compatibility mode tick the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows XP SP2 in the drop down. Try outlook and it will ask you the same questions again but after closing it and re-opening it again it has worked for me. I can now log onto it with out getting that start-up message and also send e-mails without a WAB.DLL error!!!!!!!! Regards Andrew Kipling |

| | Re: Unable to find the WAB DLL Click "YES"; you do want it to be the default. If it is your main email progam, with the email address that your ISP gave you; yes. |

| | Re: Unable to find the WAB DLL You folks ROCK! This fixed my WAB DLL problem. Many thanks! Just one other thing everytime a launch Outlook 2000 in Vista, I get the Outlook 2000 startup wizard. I click Next and Next, the wizard goes away and Outlook opens and operates properly. Any ideas how to fix? Many thanks again. Bill |
