Phishing Philter problem

Phew!
I think I have a problem with some sites opening in IE7, especially some,
but not all, links from Windows Mail. The page opens and sits there blank.
All updates are done, using Vista Ultimate.
In the IE7 Tools/Internet Options/Advanced, there's a yellow exclamation
point on the "Phishing Filter" box.
Could this be the problem?

Re: Phishing Philter problem

are you referring to the little orange circle with what might be an ! in the corner of the Phishing title.
I got one to, but no problems with web sites.

what ones in particular are you having problems with.
some sites have YET to update to allow IE7.

Re: Phishing Philter problem

That's it. Same yellow circle...

Here's a link that "will not" open from the email hyperlink yet will open
when I copy and paste it to a new browser page.
It's from www.si.com's daily newsletter, nothing urgent.

Today's links do open and I notice their url ends in .html while the above
doesn't.
Must be an "SI" problem and thanks for responding.

Re: Phishing Philter problem

So you made me try it again. Interesting.
It opens in this thread but still not in the original email.
I'm going to forward the original to one of my customers I set up on Vista
and see what happens.
I'll post back here for S's and G's.

phishing filter

I had a problem when I got Vista. The phishing filter on McAfee was interfering with the phishing filter on windows. Once I disabled the one on McAfee everything was up and running quickly.

re: Phishing Filter Problem

I too had a problem with IE7 running slow. Ended up it was the phishing filter on McAfee. It was interfering with the one from Windows. When I turned off the McAfee one, everything was up and running speedily.
