Another prediction of mine is coming true.. the geeks of all the world (who
really know everything about computers, not like the wannabe's and EM VEE
PEE(MVP) sheep in here) will see right through vistas glass, and see the
trash!

That's a bit over the top. Vista for sure has a lot of warts and it is
also true most MVP's either don't have the expereince to know about
them or prefer to keep quite about them out of fear of losing their
"precious" MVP badge. Many REAL geeks (real ones or even wannabe ones
make a pile of money by pedaling some how-to Vista book or magazine
column) know the truth about Vista, but aren't really surprised.
Afterall its a Microsoft product, nobody really expected it to work
too good in its first release. Hoped it would... for a change, but
with Windows' long (20 plus year history) of release then patch, that
would be expecting too much.

I'm not a big Chris Pirillo fan. Seems like a poser to me.

Vista isn't perfect, there are a lot of issues... But, I love it. It hasn't
given me any problems on my network. I've been using it since early betas,
and have seen many issues resolved. Most of the time, it's a driver conflict
caused by a third party driver; or unsupported hardware. I'm not an MVP, I'm
just a geek that loves to play with new hardware and software. I don't
install an OS on my main work machine just because it's new. I try it on a
non-production machine (which most geeks have sitting around). For Chris
Pirillo to install it on his main machine to play with it, without running
the Upgrade Advisor tool (which would tell him his hardware wouldn't work
right!), or testing it with a dual boot configuration, is just a huge
mistake. Especially for a tech.

Although, his going back to XP is a good choice. If his hardware doesn't
work to get his work done, don't use it. Of course, he could have avoided
all the problems in the first place by doing things right.

Check out http://www.overclockers.com for some recent articles on driver
development for Vista (and XP and 2000: same things going on with Vista
right now!).

Yes, I've also emailed him my responses and thoughts on this. So I'm not
just flaming him knowing he isn't listening...

Jim we all know that you are deadly against Vista, why bother to keep
