| | The search facility in Vista I am not liking the way the search works in Vista the way it starts searching as you type into the search box. I know its a new feature and people are supposed to like it and its supposed to make using Windows easier but I am really beginning to hate it. Is there a way of turning off that feature and just being able to write the whole word in the box and then search for the word? Cheers, Andy. |

| | Re: The search facility in Vista What is it about that function you don't like? Does it keep you from continuing to type as you type out your word? Some people complain about that and it's not normal. It should let you type in your whole word with no problem just like XP. The only thing you're missing is having to click a button or hit enter. What does it starting it's search before your done typing have to do with anything? In other words, what is the negative impact you are experiencing with this new feature?
