Anything Is Compatable!!!

im not sure whether this topic has been posted before, but di you all know if
dsomething does not install because vista is on your computer, you can right
click on the setup file, click properties, click the 'compatability' tab,
then click on run as if your were running XP; or something like that,

so that means you can run any peice of software on vista!!!

No, of course, it doesn't.

But you knew that, didn't you.

Re: Anything Is Compatable!!!

No it doesn't. It just means you can run software with relatively simple
problems, such as version checking.

Re: Anything Is Compatable!!!

That doesn't necessarily work either. Adobe software, at least the stuff I
am trying to install (Premiere) , refuses to let you install it on Vista.
No matter what I try, including changing the compatibility mode on the
setup.exe, the setup errors out saying it will only install on XP and above.
(like that last part).

Obviously its a problem for Adobe to fix, but I would love to be able to
fool it. I imagine it would be mostly functional if it would let me
install.
