Vista - Cannot uninstall antivirus, cannot download attachments

I am unable to uninstall AVG free, and I am unable to download attachments
from Windows Mail. I created a recovery point before I installed Vista, is
there a way to get back to that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You created a recovery "point" -before- you installed Vista?

It sounds like the OP upgraded to Vista on an infected machine or didn't
uninstall his antivirus and other security software before trying the
upgrade. There is no way for us to tell with so little information.

If the information is not applicable to you, back up your data and do a
clean install of Vista.
