| | Connecting to a printer shared on XP from Vista I have 2 XP Home machines that are all connected wirelessly and networking between them is fine. I have just added a new laptop running Vista Home and I am unable to access the shared printer on the XP home machine from the Vista Machine. All the machines get their IP from DHCP on the wireless router and all are able to access the internet. The Vista machine can not ping the XP machine. However when I open Network on the Vista machine it shows the other 2 machines and the router. When I try to access the machines by double clicking on them it returns an error that the path was not found. At one point I was able to access the Vista machine from XP but after a reboot that stopped. I turned off all firewalls and still no luck. I've read alot of post about this tonight and nothing has seems to fit the problem I am having. Stephen D. Carlton MCDST |
