| | Vista wireless/Internet problems I'm having problems with my wireless adaptor and Vista on my desktop PC. It must be a local problem to this machine since my laptop (in the same room but running XP) works fine - both using wireless connections. I have two problems. 1. Often when I boot my desktop PC I only get "local" access - rather than "local and Internet" access. I have to fiddle around to eventually get Internet access (usually by disconnecting and reconnecting my adaptor, sometimes by "repairing" it - using Vista). 2. Sometimes when I connect, the connection is very slow. I suspect this is the wireless part of my connection rather than the Internet part. What could be the problem? Is Vista wireless support OK? I have an old (PCI) wireless adaptor from Belkin (about 2-3 years old). Could it be my wireless adaptor? If I need to get a more up-to-date adaptor, can anyone recommend an inexpensive one that works well with Vista? Cheers. Bobby |

| | Re: Vista wireless/Internet problems I have a Linksys router and if Vista can't see the internet hitting the reset button usually fixes the problem.
