I rather doubt it since Office XP is now two versions behind, but you could post in an Outlook newsgroup for more expert information (I'm not expert in Outlook at all). | | Re: MS outlook wont save passwords I doubt that MS will come out with a fix for Outlook 2002. They'll tell you to upgrade to Outlook 2003 or later. | | Re: MS outlook wont save passwords More & more I dislike MS and their heavy handed attitude. I just bought Office directly from MS in March using the Army employee purchase program and now it won't even work right. What a crock of *^&%! | | Re: MS outlook wont save passwords If you're referring to the inability to save passwords then this is a known issue that at least for the moment is not going to be corrected as it requires support for a secure storage mechanism that was removed from Vista. | | Re: MS outlook wont save passwords I too got fed up with having to retype my passwords in Outlook using Vista and after trying all the fixes suggested on this and other forums I came across this neat free program, 'Stickypassword'. Unlike 'Roboform' which I already use it will remember and fill passwords in programs like Outlook etc not just in web browsers. It was a little bit of a fiddle to setup, mainly as I did it by trial and error;-) but now works fine. Probably not worth the effort if you only have one email account but if like me you have multiple accounts setup it makes it far less frustrating to get your mail. I downloaded it from www.stickypassword.com/?affid=200032438 -- LexxNS ------------------------------------------------------------------------ LexxNS's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/lexxns.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/699309.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
