| | Vista freeze up? Inotice a few times a day, Vista Home Premium will freeze up or at least I think it is freezing up for 30 seconds or so. I notice the hard drive light is lit when this occurs. Could this be the Vista Index Service doing its thing? I have plenty of memory, a good video card and a Vista score of 44 so I don't think it's my Dell Dimension 9100. In addition, I dual boot with XP and this problem does not occur when XP is running. What do you guys think? Thanks everyone. |

| | Re: Vista freeze up? There are a number of Active Tasks scheduled by Vista. Many are Triggered actions and some wait for a system idle time before they run. The problem doesn't sound like Indexing. It is designed to be a low priority service that wouldn't account for a system pause/lag. I would check the System Event log for error(s). You can also check the "Active Tasks" for Scheduler using the MS Management console. <chazdg25@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1173213041.449546.224990@v33g2000cwv.googlegroups.com... > Inotice a few times a day, Vista Home Premium will freeze up or at > least I think it is freezing up for 30 seconds or so. Can you be a little more specific about what I should be looking for in the system log. I can't seem to make heads or tails out of it. |
