| Guest | Dell Axim X51v won't sync? I'm not sure if this is the right group for this post but it's the one that seemed closest. I can't seem to sync my Dell Axim X51v with my Vista Home Premium desktop. When I put my Dell in its cradle, Vista picks it up just fine. A window opens prompting me for my password, which I enter. Then an AutoRun window opens just like if I put in an audio CD or something. The options are to sync digital media files, open and explore, import pictures and a couple of Microsoft Office Document Scanning options. That's it. At no point does anything else open and nothing is syncing. I've opened Windows Mobile Device Center and the small window that opens only has two options: Allow USB Connections and Allow Connections to one of the following. That's it. It just doesn't seem to be doing anything. It never really asked me about setting up a relationship anything. I really don't know what else to do. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or have any ideas? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, - Byron Followell |

My Axim syncs' just fine now. | Guest | Re: Dell Axim X51v won't sync? If all that happens is autoplay comes up then you deffinatly need to dowload windows mobile device center, this is the Vista version of Active sync, once you dowload mobile device center and put ur PDA into the sync cradle Mobile device center should open up and allow you to set up a partnership between the PDA and computer -- Adamant1982 Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| Guest | Re: Dell Axim X51v won't sync? Also have you tried manually setting up the device, Also since dell Axim x51v was made in the XP era, you might wont to check to see if you have the latest updated drivers, to make sure u have this you would go to contro0l panel unintall program, once this is do you will need to scroll down to where it says windows mobile device center, there should be to thing the actual windows Mobile device center and something that says windows wobile updated drivers, also I had some problems with my Dell Axim X3 it may help to reinstall WMDC. -- Adamant1982 Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
