Vista - Shutting down problem

Hi,
We just got a new Acer computer with Windows Vista on it and it won't shut
down. We have reason to believe that it has to do with the software and our
wireless internet connection because when we plug out our internet cable and
then try to shut the computer down there's no problem.
However, we need our internet and when we plug out the cable the computer
automatically starts up again. This is not very handy nor good for our
computer.
Anyone who can help?

I just got a lamboughini vx2 lap top with vista installed and when I try to
shut down it restarts itself - I need help too!
