    Hello Mark Rae,
I am currently beta testing a backup software for Symantec which will be
released in a few months. Until then, I recommend using Vistas own backup
function which can actually perform a pretty thorough backup.

Which version of Vista are you using?

"Your entire computer - Windows Complete PC Backup

Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore is not included with
Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Home Premium."

I use Ultimate. Business also has full computer backup. Not sure about
    Enterprise.
