| | Re: Vista upgrade install Hi, The commonly used workaround is to install without using the Product key the first time. This will allow you to do a clean install, make sure that you choose the version you actually own a key for. Then run an upgrade from within the freshly installed OS and use the Product key. Basically you install twice. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Eric" <spam@spam.no> wrote in message news:Ojvwc9SYHHA.3268@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Can I install Vista Upgrade as a 'clean install' without previously > installed > XP on the HD or do I have to have XP already installed on the machine? > Thanks > > Eric |
