missing vista programs help!

I'm missing some programs. I had made a second copy of vista premium
on my new laptop. I had to recover but the recovery manager formatted my
drive and I was instructed to insert the vista cd that came with my new lap.
I reinstalled the windows. Then it went to windows update and I got most of
my drivers and updated alot. except office, and recovery manager, and some
others like defender. The product key now says invalid too. Except I used
the cd
that came with my lap so why is it invalid? I need to reinstall some vista
programs
anyone know how, and where? how can I tell what programs are missing? help

Your other programs may be on other discs seperate from the Vista disc.
Look at your laptop documentation or call their support no.
