| | Random Minimizing There are times when I'll click on maybe a web button or anywhere in any active window (usually when I try to select the scroll bar) and the screen will either maximize or shrink to a smaller window. WHY does this happen? Or better, how can I stop this? Thanks! |

| | RE: Random Minimizing I found the answer on another thread just the other day. I have a Toshiba laptop. The problem for me was that when I clicked on the TouchPad, the screen minimized... This happened because the Toshiba comes with a default setting for "TapZones, " which means that you can tap in the left corner and you can minimize the window, the right corner and the Start menu can pop up. etc. You can customize these zones to do whatever you want, or, like me, just turn the stupid things off. =) If you have a similar machine, here's what you can try: go to control panel and under "Hardware and Sound," click on "Mouse." Click the "Device Settings" tab. Under the Devices window, click the "settings" button. Expand the "Tapping" menu, then double click "Tap Zones." In that window, you can either turn them off, resize the zones, or reassign different settings. Happy tapping!
