| | Why Windows Calendar report error when start up windows? I don't know whether I'm the only one who encounter this problem. When I starting the computer up, Windows will report that the Windows Calendar is stopped working, if I have been used it before I restart my computer. Why? How can I avoid this messege? |

| | Re: Why Windows Calendar report error when start up windows? There isn't and "Actions Tab" in Windows Calendar - nor is there a "Task Scheduler". I am refering to Windows Calendar in Windows Mail - not Outlook "mikeyhsd" wrote: > some people have reported success by removing the > /reminder > from the Actions tab of Windows calendar in Task Scheduler. > > mikeyhsd@sport.rr.commikeyhsd@sport.rr.com > > "王兆明" <unalone@gmail.com> wrote in message news:BA906429-0D2B-439D-8E7D-985BCED03F50@microsoft.com... > I don't know whether I'm the only one who encounter this problem. | | Re: Why Windows Calendar report error when start up windows? Actions is in Task Scheduler, Task Scheduler is in Administrative Tools. Wincal uses Task Scheduler to start it, both at user logon and time of next appointment, so it can make noise at appointment times. It seems wincal can't actually start - presumbably Wincal starts minimised or something when used with the /reminder switch (it crashes wincal so we can only guess what it's supposed to do as we can not observe it) I wonder if (cut and paste into Start Run) wincal /reminder works for anyone or generates a application crash for everyone. The error seems to be in Wincal rather than a system file. If you monitor the problem say weekly in Control Panel - Problem Reports And Solutions you'll know when MS fixes it. Make sure you send the error reports in because it is a vote on what MS should fix. EG, when I just went and checked I found out that MS are researching why Dreamscene crashes video drivers (in a variety of different ways), it says nothing about researching Wincal. So that means, as a crashing wincal is not too serious compared to a system crash, that there needs to be lots of votes so they will want to fix. So send those error reports in. Of course the Wincal team may be working on it and just haven't told the computer at MS that takes error reports. Always assume computers are stupid and data is dirty. I'm not sure but I think it is being denied to load MSXML4. .. | | Re: Why Windows Calendar report error when start up windows? I said using Task Scheduler and the Calendar entries under the Actions tab. there is only ONE standard calendar in vista, it's available from many different programs. since you are now changing the circumstances under which the error occurs, my suggestion may not work. mikeyhsd@comcast.net "Edwin" <Edwin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FC77FA7A-F333-4BF3-BE9C-CDC4A10C326F@microsoft.com...
