Windows Update only works when automatic

Hi
How is it, that I never get any updates in windows update?
I have to set it to never search for updates and make IE7 default browser
again before I get the update for Windows Defender as the only updates!

Re: Windows Update only works when automatic

Microsoft generally releases security update only once a month and the next
update cycle is this coming Tuesday. Other updates might be released on a
different schedule. Aside from Windows Defender updates I don't see any in
several weeks.

Mine work fine when set as automatic, or I can manually poll for them. Both
work fine.
