Re: Nero

Problem is, not everyone who has Vista has Nero. It would be better to post
Nero questions in a Nero forum. At least there you're dealing with people
who have and are using the product that you're asking about. See:

Nero

I own Nero 7 ultra. I would like to install it on my new machine that came
pre installed with Vista. Nero has suggested that I use their cleaning tool
to remove all traces of Nero and then reinstall. ( Nero 7.7.5.1 Reloaded-
Vista compatible) I have done this about six times now. (Yes I have my serial
number and have entered it everytime) Nero still tells me that it does not
have all the components and to try the download again. Apparently this has
worked for all the "smart" people on these boards. The Microsoft guys keep
giving rude responses. Is there anyone on the boards who really cares about
helping others or is this just a complaint and defend board?

Re: Nero

Did you run Nero install from the Nero web site or actually d/l the file
(7751) to your hard drive then install?

Re: Nero

I vaguely remember helping a friend with the same problem updating Nero to
7.7.5 under XP and if my memory serves me right after many failed attempts
the way we finally did this was by installing the original Nero again from
the CD and then downloading the update and without uninstalling the previous
version installed the new one. That did the trick Nero took a look at the
previous version and then asked if we wanted to update.
This was sometime ago and if I remember the exact procedure I will post
again but try it without running the cleaning tool.

Re: Nero

Good luck, but I think Nero 7+ is bloated bad news.

Re: Nero

Thank you all for your help. I have been to the Nero site several times.
They have quit responding, that is why I asked here. Sorry to have bothered
you.
