Vista - codec for wp11 for vista

I am trying to play videos from my video camera .asf files.
Code cood1od1 pops up and tells me I can't play them. Have tried everywhere
to find codec with, but no help. Can someone please help!!!!!

Just Windows being as dumb as a stump again. The ASF file format which
was developed by Microsoft (figures) stands for Advanced Streaming
Format. Curious any REAL video camera would use it as a native format
as it is highly compressed and destroys video quality, so I'm going to
guess and say you're talking about something other than a video camera
$$$$ and are actually talking about a web cam of some sort. Right?

You may be better off just converting the file format back to some
more widely used general format. Do a Google for file conversion and
you should find a load of free or low priced utilities.

Personally I like the K-lite packages. Also includes the Media Player
Classic, a lite player. Good for MP4's also
