USB Mouse freeze when Vista Boots

My USB mouse is freezing up every time I restart my Dell Dimension
9100. To get it to work, I need to unglug it and then it works fine.
Any ideas what the problem could be? Same mouse works fine when I
boot into Windows XP. Thanks.

Re: USB Mouse freeze when Vista Boots

I had a similar problem, mouse was fine then wouldn't work. I had to plug it
into a different USB, which causes me some concern that it might happen
again wit the mouse or one of my numerous other USB devices.

It happens to all of my USB ports and I just can't seem to find an
answer to this issue.

Mouse freezes with Vista

I'm having the same problem with my mouse. The system is three days old. The mouse freezes with no warning and the only way I can get it to work is to unplug it from the USB port and then plug it back in. Dell suggested uninstalling the Google desktop toolbar from programs and also installing upgrades for my printer. The printer upgrades didn't work and I'm waiting to see if the Google toolbar was the answer. I have my doubts. These drivers are no good. I'm getting pretty frustrated.

Re: Mouse freezes with Vista

I don't have Google toolbar (or any other extra toolbar) and mine freezes
about once every 2-3 days and I have to unplug it or cold boot.
