Shdow Backups - How do I turn it OFF?

I have a small 10gig system hard drive, I've hardly installed anything but
the system except for a few necessities.

When I installed I immediately checked, and it had 2.5gig left, I've hardly
done anything and now only 350meg left!

I figure if I turn off Shadow backing up, and just do normal system file
'system restore points' occasionally I may stop my drive filling up.

Get a larger hard drive. Seriously. The one you have now is not going to
give you enough room to do anything serious with your computer.

I don't 'do' anything on the C drive, it's for just the system and program
files, everything serious is done on the 300gig slave.

It's worked nicely with Win95 Win98 and with WinXP, looks like Vista will
need at least 20gig for the system to live on.

The idea is sound... but 10GB is not enough for XP let alone Vista.

If you have two partitions on the drive, increase the size of the first
partion to 30GB or above (my recommendation). If you have a separate
physical drive, get a new one. A 10GB drive will be slower and more
unreliable than any modern drive. You can pick up a brand new 80GB drive for
less than £25/$50 these days...
